Wordless Wednesday - Father and Son
This photo of my grandfather Robert Creeden and great-grandfather Charles Creeden was probably taken in 1914 or 1915. The photo was taken at the G.A.Boosz studio in Celina, Ohio.

Wordless Wednesday - Grandpa on a Tricycle!
This photo of my grandfather Robert F. Creeden was taken in Celina, Ohio. I would guess the year was around 1915.

Wordless Wednesday - Edgewater Park, Celina, Ohio
This photo was labeled Geo. P., so I'm guessing one of the men on the dock is my great-grandfather George Pulskamp. They used to stay in Edgewater Park during the summers from around 1915 to 1950. George's wife Mary ran a grocery store there with their kids and the Pulskamps rented out seven cottages. The flyer on the pole behind them is advertising the Mercer County Fair.

Wordless Wednesday - Bow Ties are cool!
My Dad is showing off his snazzy 1960's bow tie in this photo. This must have been shortly after we moved into the house as there is no carpet and not much furniture!

Wordless Wednesday - Pearl Chilcutt Willis with Son and Grandkids
My great-grandmother Pearl Chilcutt Willis is holding my Mom. Standing in front are my Mom's uncle "Sug" and her sisters, Audrey and Anna. The picture was taken in the early 1930s in Maryland or Pennsylvania.

Wordless Wednesday - Pulskamp Group Shot
This photo was just labeled "Mrs. George Pulskamp". My great-grandfather George Pulskamp is on the right, but I'm not sure who the older gentleman is on the left. I think my great-grandmother Mary Gast Pulskamp is the 3rd from the right in the back row. My grandmother Anna Lee and her twin sister Emma Lee are the 2nd and 3rd girls in the middle row.
I recognize the woman standing next to George from one of my mystery photos! I still don't know who she is, but at least I know now that she's connected to the Pulskamps. My grandmother was born in 1910, so I would guess this was taken sometime in the 1920s in Ohio.

Wordless Wednesday - Mystery Family
This one is a mystery. It was probably taken in Ohio and may be my Creeden family, but the relative ages of the children don't match.
Updating to add that I recognized the woman in this photo in one of my Pulskamp family photos. I still don't know who she is, but it appears that she is linked to the Pulskamps in Mercer County, Ohio.

Wordless Wednesday - Creedens
This group shot of the Creeden family was taken in 1934 in Celina, Ohio. From left to right, the adults are Lena Gleagall Creeden and her husband Daniel Creeden, Ida Belle Creeden Stout, Julia Creeden Balleweg and possibly her husband Lorenz Balleweg?, Anna Niehaus Creeden and her husband Charles Creeden. The two little girls in the front are Julia's daughters. I'm not sure who the boy and the other girl are, but they are probably either Julia's or Ida Belle's children. The Creeden adults are siblings.

Friday's Faces From the Past - Robert F. Creeden
This picture of my grandfather, Robert F. Creeden wasn't dated, but he was born in 1911 in Celina, Ohio. I'm not a great judge of ages, but would guess he's around 5 or 6 here.

Wordless Wednesday - Nice hat!
This picture was labeled "Henry Niehaus' sister - Fetters". My 2x great-grandfather was Henry Niehaus, so I was curious about which of his sisters this might be. I had married names for all of them, except Catherine Niehaus, born in 1871. I found one match for a marriage between a Fetters and Niehaus: Edwin Elmer Fetters married Katie Niehaus on August 29, 1894 in Montgomery, Ohio. Katie was also born in 1871, so looks like a good possibility that she is the Mrs. Fetters pictured here with her hat!

Wordless Wednesday - Two great-great-grandmothers!
![]() |
| Anna Rohrer Niehaus and Mary Ann Matson Creeden, 1919 |
Pictured are two of my great-great-grandmothers in Celina, Ohio in 1919. I sure would love to know what they'd been talking about!
Wordless Wednesday is a daily blogging prompt used by many genealogy bloggers to help them post content on their sites.

Wordless Wednesday - Mystery photo
Any good photo detectives out there? This was in my grandfather's collection, so the location is probably Ohio. The people and date are unknown.
